Responsibilities

  • Know and understand Weatherford Quality Policy and comply with all requirements of the Quality Systems Manual, Operating and Technical Procedures, and Workplace Instructions.

  • Must understand and comply with all safety rules and company policies of Weatherford.

  • Work assignments carried out to the highest quality level.

  • Perform various other duties and activities as assigned by supervisor within the physical constraints of the job.

  • Knowledge on ISO 9000 requirements, and Internal Auditing techniques.

  • Strong attention to detail, highly organized and computer literate

  • Monitor and record all assigned quality control related activities.

  • Run various queries and reports using business unit ERP system as needed

  • Monitor data to ensure inspection and comparison of incoming materials and outgoing finished products in various stages of production to insure top level quality.

  • Conduct audits of random samples of various production parts and document findings without inferring with productivity.

  • Communicate with supply chain and manufacturing in quality related issues and corrections.

  • Ability to work necessary hours or days to ensure critical business data is up to date and accurate for all quality issues.

  • Collecting and producing written documentation for reporting findings in support of RCA.

  • Reviews operating logs to identify program processing errors.

  • Collecting, assisting with developing and analysing quality measurement data.

Qualifications

Required:

  • Successful practical experience in VSM, 6S, 5Why, TPM, Standard Work, Mistake Proofing, SIPOC, Process Mapping, Kanban, SMED, Types of Waste & Waste Reduction, Visual Management, Shop Floor Management, Hoshin Planning, Cellular Manufacturing, PDCA and/or DMAIC cycles.

  • Minimum of 8 to 10 years of experience in lean manufacturing as a continuous improvement leader, lean lead, black belt, or similar role.

  • Excellent leadership traits with the ability to inspire and motivate the people around.

  • Demonstrated ability to lead and effectively communicate at all levels from the shop floor to senior management.

  • Hands- on, energetic person who spends time on the shop floor working to engage & sustain employees in a Lean culture.

  • The ability to be an “ambassador of change”.

  • Strong organizational and computer skills, including experience in MS Office and manufacturing software.

  • The ability to shift priorities and manage time in a fast-paced environment.

  • Tenacious in learning the specifics of the business.

  • Strong training and presentation skills.

  • Bachelors in Mechanical Engineering.

  • Certified Six Sigma Black Belt / Six Sigma Lean Expert.

    PREFFERED

  • Certified Lean Practitioner or Six Sigma Black Belt is strongly preferred.
