The John Hancock Insurance Regional Vice President (RVP) is responsible for sales of John Hancock life insurance products within a defined account. The RVP should meet or exceed the premium and growth targets by establishing new relationships, exhibiting customer centricity, and strengthening existing relationships in the Illinois/Iowa territory.

Responsibilities

  • Maintain and grow business with our established customers

  • Identify and cultivate new sources of life production

  • Represent JH in the local marketplace

  • Work closely with team members to share market intelligence and best practices

This RVP position will report in the Divisional Vice President overseeing the Western Region. RVP will have a significant impact in driving sales in one of our most historically productive regions. Sharing successful sales strategies, customer feedback and product insights with fellow RVP’s help all regions meet their goals and provide better service to our customers across the country.

What we are looking for

  • Minimum five (5) years of external life insurance wholesaling experience at the carrier level, broker dealer or wirehouse. Successful point of sale experience is highly desirable.

  • Exhibits assertiveness and a "will to win" in dealing with highly competitive situations.

  • Strong sales skills and product knowledge.

  • Ability to effectively communicate, build rapport and relate well to a diverse group of people.

Salary will vary depending on local market conditions, geography and relevant job-related factors such as knowledge, skills, qualifications, experience, and education/training.
