Delaware County Human Services DA Prevention Specialist in Upper Darby, Pennsylvania
Under the general direction of the D & A Administrator and under the direct supervision of the Prevention Program Specialist, the D & A Prevention Specialist is primarily responsible for the implemeentation of the countywide prevention plan as indicated below:
Implement and oversee goals for the county prevention efforts.
Expand prevention program efforts in accordance with the plan.
Assist with the development of the annual D & A training plan based on the needs of treatment providers and prevention providers.
Maintain the SCA as a resource agency.
Attend various prevention meetings as the SCA representative. Supervisor will use minutes from meetings to assist in employee professional development.
Attend and receive certificates for all mandatory PA Department of Drug and Alcohol Programs trainings.
Assist with the bi-annual treatment needs and resource assessment when necessary.
Perform Case Management duties as needed. This requires a thorough understanding of substance abuse and the approval process.
Attend all required case management trainings.
Perform other adminsitrative and program duties as assigned.
