About the Program

BT Business is excited to introduce its second Career Returners program – Restart – in partnership with Women Returners. We support experienced professionals of all genders returning to work after a career break of 18 months or more. Applicants must have the right to work in the UK and be able to start in September 2024. We currently have the following vacancies available within our Service function, Design and Delivery. Our Service team will serve customers through a dedicated Service function, that looks after our customers during the life of their contract and helps establish Business as easy to do business with and a provider of great service that retains customers and attracts new ones to us.

Network Designers (Newcastle or Manchester)

Solution Architects (Bristol)

What you’ll be doing

These are great jobs for someonewho has a previous technical background in cloud or voice solutions. Equally, someone who has relevant industry experience within the telecoms sector or has a military background in voice/radio signals would be a good fit.

With the roles supporting customer contracts you'll be required to undergo SC level Security Clearance. Therefore, being previously cleared is an advantage. Alternatively, we'll be looking for you to be eligible to meet the minimum clearance criteria; British National or UK Passport holder for 5+ years, this clearance will be initiated by BT upon entry.

Some of your accountabilities will be to;

• Capture detailed customer technical requirements and translate them into solution designs using established methodologies.

• Execute technical direction to deliver optimal solution designs for customers.

• Review and validate new developments and in-life products/services, ensuring seamless integration across all aspects.

• Contribute to enhancing design and delivery capabilities for end-to-end technical solutions.

• Deliver customer solution design engagements, create statements of work, and manage 3rd party deliverables, including migration planning and implementation

What skills you'll need

You will need at least one of the following:

• Networking: SD-WAN, LAN, Edge, Wireless, Meraki, F5

• Voice Contact Solutions: One Cloud Cisco, Microsoft Teams, Five9, Cisco Unified Communications

• Contact Centre Solutions: Genesys Cloud, Genesys Engage, Avaya Contact Centre, Cisco Contact Centre, Cisco Webex

As part of the BT Restart programme we are looking for transferrable skills for our roles, so please base your application on this rather than meeting the full criteria.
