Harnish Group Inc. Warranty Claims Specialist - WARRA003885-00001 in Tukwila, Washington

 

Our Warranty Claims position is responsible for managing and processing of warranty claims. Prepare and suggest final judgment on claims exposures and major warranty repair exposure to ensure continuity in claims processing and warranty repair completions. Acknowledge, record and process customer claims in a manner which results in the resolution of warranty liabilities at the lowest overall cost to the company. Correspond with customers, company representative's and communicate with internal departments regarding the status and outcome of warranty claims and programs. This position works closely with our service department to ensure that the claims are accurate, complete and filed timely. In addition, our claims specialist regularly enter data within DBS and CAT software. There are other important operational tasks and duties assigned, such as training internal service employees on warranty procedures and invoicing customers for their portion of warranty work orders. A quick yet friendly approach is essential for this role where accuracy and attention to detail are a requirement.

Qualifications & Experience Needed: At least one (1) year of customer warranty claims experience, sales or manufacturing experience, and general knowledge of Caterpillar machinery products. A good understanding of business practice, including accounting skills. A minimum of 2 years administrative related experience is necessary along with a high school degree or GED equivalent. You will need to be experienced using Microsoft Office such as Outlook and Word and demonstrate a disciplined ability to work with limited supervision. The ideal candidate will have excellent verbal and written communication skills, be self-motivated, have attention to detail and be results-oriented and be able to lift and handle 25 lbs. minimum.
