Job Description:

The Russell Sage College Nutrition Science Department seeks applicants for a Tenure Track position at the level of Assistant or Associate Professor in the Nutrition Science Programs. Housed within The School of Health Sciences, the department offers an ACEND accredited Bachelor of Science program in Nutrition and Dietetics, three Master of Science degree tracks and an ACEND-accredited Dietetic Internship program. The position is a full-time, 9-month faculty appointment.

Responsibilities:

  • Teach undergraduate and graduate courses, in person and online in areas of teaching experience and expertise in nutrition

  • Mentor and advise undergraduate and graduate students.

  • Participate on department, college, and university committees.

  • Collaborate on interdisciplinary projects in the community and with professionals from other fields.

  • Conduct independent research (tenure track candidates only)

The estimated base academic year salary range for this position is $53,000 to $54,000, commensurate with experience.

Requirements:

The successful candidate will possess a master's degree and registered dietitian nutritionist (RDN) credentialing through the Commission on Dietetic Registration (CDR). Preference will be given to candidates with a doctoral degree in nutrition or closely related field and previous teaching experience.
