Kostal of America, Inc. Senior System Engineer (Job Code: 1014) in Troy, Michigan
Responsible for ensuring cross-disciplinary aspects of products are defined, implemented, and verified; analyze and decompose high-level customer and internal requirements into system engineering requirements; collaborate internally with multiple disciplines, ensuring requirements are analyzed and appropriately assigned and verified as expected; measure rate of implementation and testing to ensure complete requirement coverage by product launch using Jenkins; develop reusable system architecture based on system-level requirements using Enterprise Architect; assign high-level requirements to system elements, and use understanding of V-model and ensure traceability throughout, using YAKINDU Traceability; utilize Rational DOORs, CANoe, CANape, CAPL Script, LTspice, and MS Visio to perform duties; fulfill all systems engineering deliverables as described in KOSTAL standard process; participate in ASPICE assessments as required; conduct testing using vector tools, ensuring products perform appropriately at system level; become a system-level expert on assigned projects to provide engineering support to other personnel; and develop a solid understanding of KOSTAL development processes and tools to support development and test teams in process execution.
Location: Troy, MI and various unanticipated locations throughout the US;
Salary: $117,000 per year;
Education: Bachelor's Degree in Computer Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Electronic Engineering, or in a related field of study (will accept equivalent foreign degree);
Experience: Four (4) years in the position above, as an E-Mobility System Design Engineer, as a Software Requirements Engineer, or in a related occupation;
