About the role

You will join our team of a highly motivated and experienced supplier quality engineers. You will primarily be working with our external value stream, supporting and reviewing our suppliers manufacturing qualifications and work actively together with the suppliers so ensure they reach and maintain GKNs quality standards.

In addition to collaborating with our suppliers, you will also have a broad internal network and cooperate with our ME engineers, design engineers, engineering method specialist and material application engineers to establish manufacturing qualification requirements and work with same team in problem solving events and in quality improvement efforts. Teamwork is key and you as an SQE will enjoy the true benefit of working with dedicated and skilled colleagues from many different areas within our company.

Main responsibilities

• Actively work with and support the suppliers overall quality performance • Lead problem solving and quality improvement efforts • Manage First Article Inspection and Engineering Source Substantiation at suppliers • PPAP AS9145 and AS13100 introductions and follow up at the supplier base

Qualifications / Experience / Skills

Essential: • Well organized and structured with strong skills to work independently • Target oriented and outgoing with good communications skills • Knowledge of aerospace products, processes and technologies

Desirable: • Bachelor’s degree in appropriate field of study or equivalent work experience • Experience from manufacturing engineering, design engineering or quality engineering • Knowledge in APQP, PPAP, preferable within aerospace

To be successful in the position you need to have a good quality mindset, be well organized, a team player with a winning mindset.

Location and travel expectations:

This position is based in Trollhättan, Sweden, therefore the applicant should be able to obtain the right to live and work in Sweden. Travel to other locations is included in the role if necessary.
