CPM Century Extrusion in Traverse City MI, has decades of experience in the development of highly engineered twin screw extrusion systems covering different levels of extruders, from entry level to high level specifications for various customer requirements, as well as high performance process section components. INSPECTION DUTIES:

• Inspection of Incoming Barrels

• Inspection of Outsourced Barrels

• Inspection of New barrels

• Inspection of Incoming Shafts

• Inspection of New shafts

• Inspection of New, Incoming or Outsourced vent port/plugs, injector plugs and associated barrel parts.

• Inspection of New, Incoming or Outsourced Tip bolts, couplings, coupling nuts and associated Shaft parts

• Inspection of New, Incoming or Outsourced Extruder parts

• Inspection of parts as needed by Engineering for Reverse Engineering

• Inspection of Segments as needed

WIRE EDM DUTIES:

• Operation of MITSUBISHI wire EDM’s on Barrel, Segment and Shaft components

• Preventive maintenance on wire EDM’s as needed

• Maintain stock of needed supplies for PM on wire EDM’s

• Edit/program EDM’s as needed

ADDITIONAL INSPECTOR DUTIES:

• Provide production personal support

• 1st piece inspection, as needed

• Verify or provide secondary measurements

• Laser marking of barrel, shaft, segment and extruder components, as needed

CALIBRATION ASSISTANCE:

• CMM Ball Bar Calibration/Measurements

• Inspection/Re-certification of Segment and Barrel fixtures

• Inspection/Re-certification of Segment, Shaft and Barrel Gages

Job Type: Full-time

Pay: $20.00 - $27.00 per hour

Expected hours: 40 per week
