Post Assembly Technician I
Position Summary
Under direct supervision, the Post Assembly Technician will work closely with the production team and engineering teams to meet production goals. This includescompleting validation drives of Singer vehicles, ensuring repairs of issues found during test drives, diagnosis of rattles and squeak noises, replacement of faulty components, installing specialty components, and the ensuring the quality final assembly of vehicles in a manner that demonstrates, “Everything is Important.”
Essential Functions
Works with the Post Assembly Supervisor to ensure production demands meets the specified production schedule
Test drives and completes final assembly of the vehicles and repairs any quality issues
Tracks quality issues into Singer’s nonconformance ticketing system and follows up on action items with action owners
Performs operational procedures according to required engineering specifications
Diagnoses of rattles and squeak noises and build issues
Documents case of failure and correction to share findings with Engineers and production leadership
Uses diagnostic tools to test vehicle systems
Performs thorough inspection of post assembly vehicles, reporting and documenting all required repairs, deviations, and concessions
Compiles, analyzes, and presents final vehicle and pre-delivery inspection data for creating countermeasures, completing problem solving activities, and preventing re-occurrence
Diagnoses drivability issues
Removes and repairs vehicle components
Cleans and maintains service equipment, including the service area
Reports any material shortages and/or part defects to Post Assembly Supervisor
Works in a cross-functional team environment as a strong team player and demonstrate ability to work with other functional groups to achieve company-wide goals
Assists other team members as necessary including but not limited to training new hires, and communicating build issues to production team members
Assists in special projects as required
Performs other duties as assigned
Minimum Qualifications:
High school diploma or equivalent
Five (5) plus years of work experience in automotive related field
Experience with professional automotive, motorsport, or high-end restoration
Strong knowledge and understanding of all vehicle systems such as Suspension, Brake systems, Powertrain, Electrical, Chassis, and Interiors
Preferred Education/Experience and/or Certifications
Bachelor’s degree or certification and/or technical automotive program graduate
Prior experience in a rapid growth environment
Prior experience or familiarity with Porsche vehicles (early models)?
Experience with motorsport car set up
OEM Certified Master Technician
OEM Specific Technician Training
Schedule
- Monday - Friday, 5:00 am - 1:30 pm with overtime as needed.
Compensation
The starting pay range for this position is between $29.00 - $36.00 per hour . Actual compensation will be determined by skills, experience, and relevant education or training.

Physical Demands/Work Environment
Must be able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move with up to 10 lbs. of force
Must be able to lift 25 lbs. regularly with occasional lifting of 50 lbs.
Must be able to comprehend work instructions
Must have ability to speak clearly and distinctly and hear and be heard and understood in person and by telephone
Must be able to work safely around a vehicle
Must be able to work an early schedule and overtime as needed
Must be able to wear appropriate PPE in the production environment
Must be able to bend, stretch, push, pull, and move with up to 25 lbs. of force
Must be able to continuously perform repetitive tasks and possess manual dexterity
Must be able to work safely around a vehicle
Must maintain a valid California Driver’s License with a good driving record and appropriate insurance limits and/or be insurable under the Singer’s company vehicle insurance policy
