Our team is looking for a Senior Technical Program Manager to lead a large program impacting many products across Amazon. The program aims to raise the bar and improve data privacy through centralizing data access policies and build tools to create and maintain these policies. As the leader of this program of this team, you will get the opportunity to work on a highly visible, program that directly impact the associate experience and continued adherence to data access regulations. You will be involved in all the aspects of the software development cycle including scoping, design, implementation, testing & delivery of your product and the adoption across Amazon. The position has great opportunity for growth.

Key job responsibilities

In this position you will lead multiple work streams to deliver components that help manage data access policies. You will be responsible for driving the technical direction and adoption of these components across Amazon. You will work with Software Managers, Program Managers, Product Managers, and Software Developers across organizations to define our roadmaps and deliver adoption and evolve policies and the components to meet new requirements.

You should be able to take large, complex and ambiguous business requirements, and break them down into manageable projects, write functional specifications, and then deliver them in a successful and timely manner. You should be equally comfortable digging into business requirements as you are drilling into architecture and design with development teams. You are not fazed by ambiguity or competing priorities. You anticipate bottlenecks and are an expert at balancing business needs versus technical constraints to move projects forward quickly. Successful candidates will have a technical background, be detail driven, have excellent problem solving abilities, and be able to communicate and influence at all levels.

About the team

Amazon Fulfillment Technologies (AFT) powers Amazon’s global fulfillment network. We invent and deliver software, hardware, and data science solutions that orchestrate processes, robots, machines, and people. We harmonize the physical and virtual world so Amazon customers can get what they want, when they want it.

Workforce Optimization

AFT’s Workforce Optimization team delivers innovative platforms and products to automate labor management and staffing decisions across processes and functions at Amazon’s global fulfillment network locations.

Basic Qualifications

• 5+ years of project management disciplines including scope, schedule, budget, quality, along with risk and critical path management experience

• 5+ years of technical program management working directly with software engineering teams experience

Preferred Qualifications

• 3+ years of software development experience

• Bachelor's degree in engineering, computer science or equivalent
