Job Description:

The Senior Business Application Analyst is responsible for conducting investigations and in-depth data analysis in relation to application issues and inquiries while having a deep understanding of the logic and functions of the applications used by our GAML Business Partners.

Department Overview

The Global Anti-Money Laundering (GAML) group at TD Bank Group (TDBG) is accountable for establishing TDBG's global Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF) program to ensure that all TDBG businesses remain compliant with AML/ATF regulatory expectations in all jurisdictions where TDBG operates.

The Operations and Solutions Support (OSS) Team is a core pillar of the Strategy, Solution and Transformation (SST) team within Global AML (GAML). The OSS team mandate is to manage operations and first line of support of core GAML applications, contribute to the enhancement of existing AML Applications, delivery of regularly scheduled maintenance releases and advancing innovation through process improvement and automation frameworks.

We are looking for a Senior Business Application Analyst to join our Team.

Main responsibilities of this role include:

  • Act as Team Lead and assist Manager in leading a successful Application Support team within GAML.

  • Act as subject matter expert on AML capabilities such as transaction monitoring, customer risk rating, watchlist management and regulatory reporting.

  • Provides advanced analysis and/or specialized reporting to support business partners, functional areas, or centres of expertise.

  • Execute on more complex and/or non-standard requests such as audits and regulatory exams.

  • Provide guidance and assist team in incident management while considering business risks and impacts.

  • Flexible and resilience to execute in a high impact/fast paced environment

Job requirements:

  • Seven or more years of relevant experience

  • Skilled in using analytical software tools, data analysis methods and reporting techniques

  • High proficiency in SQL queries and MS Excel

  • Strong ownership mentality and can-do attitude

  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills accompanied by strong business acumen with ability to engage senior audiences

  • Ability to work successfully as a member of a team and independently

  • Strong analytical skills with ability to analyze, research, organize and prioritize work while meeting multiple deadlines
