Department Overview

The Global Anti-Money Laundering (GAML) group at TD Bank Group (TDBG) is accountable for establishing TDBG's global Anti-Money Laundering (AML) and Anti-Terrorist Financing (ATF) program to ensure that all TDBG businesses remain compliant with AML/ATF regulatory expectations in all jurisdictions where TDBG operates.

The Operations and Solutions Support (OSS) Team is a core pillar of the Strategy, Solution and Transformation (SST) team within Global AML (GAML). The OSS team mandate is to manage business administration functions, first line of support of core GAML applications, contribute to the enhancement of existing AML Applications through delivery of scheduled Maintenance Releases and Segment Partner projects, and advance innovation through process improvement and automation frameworks.

Job Details

We are looking for a technical Senior Business Analyst to join our OSS Canadian Team. Responsibilities include delivering business requirements and test planning, preparation, and execution on a broad range of projects varying in risk, size and complexity while aligning to business strategies. For this role, testing and deep dive analysis is heavily reliant on running SQL scripts.

Job Requirements

  • Proficient in SQL, SAS, VBA and demonstrate hands-on experience in analytics

  • Lead complex projects independently and successfully deliver on requirement, testing, testing artifacts, and obtain signoffs

  • Expert knowledge of AML transaction monitoring & customer risk rating

  • Ability to perform deep dive investigations and drive recommendations/findings

  • Support, mentor and provide guidance to junior level Business Analysts and peers

  • Strong ownership mentality and can-do attitude

  • Strong writing, presentation, and communication skills accompanied by strong business acumen with ability to engage senior audiences

  • Strong interpersonal skills able to influence and manage a very diverse set of stakeholders

  • Flexible and resilience to execute in an agile environment, including the ability to manage multiple tasks concurrently

  • Acute attention to detail while moving at a fast pace

  • Demonstrate analytical, reporting, and problem-solving skills

  • High proficiency in MS Office: Excel (including pivot tables, charts, and graphics) and PowerPoint

  • Proficiency in Selenium, or other automation tool, is an asset

Additional Information

  • Seven (7) or more years of related business analysis experience

  • Undergraduate degree in a quantitative field, e.g.: Math, Statistics, Computer Science, Engineering, Applied Science

  • Hybrid work environment (2 days+ per week in the Toronto office)
