Job Overview:
The Processing Technician is responsible for the daily activities of the Central Sterile Processing Department which includes all aspects of the decontamination and sterilization processes.
Qualifications:
Required:
High school diploma or equiv.
SPD Technician certification
Scheduling Requirements:
Evening Shift
Per Diem
Schedule may vary based on the needs of the department
Essential Functions:
Identifies criteria for selecting method of disinfection and/or sterilization by following manufacturer s recommendations
Uses correct and safe technique in the use of the equipment according to the specific product information and Community Medical Center policies and procedures
Assists associates in completion of their duties and functions as a cooperative active member of the health care team
Performs all other duties as assigned
