This is a quality management role, responsible for Low Voltage Products within Siemens Smart Infrastructure operating company, Electrical Products business unit (SI EP) under IAA PRM.

This role is a HQ function, located within the Segment IAA (India, ASEAN and Africa) and is focusing on process and product quality within our Segment.

A special focus in this role is on ensuring and continuously improving of the product quality together with our supply partners which requires a willingness for frequent travelling within India (50-75%).

• analysis and monitor of current quality status in production, process, field, and design

• Support & initiate process improvement for preventive corrective measures

• escalation of critical quality problems to the head of quality management of the organization

• obliged to stop the development or production and delivery of the products in the event of a serious quality problem

• process quality in the PLM process (QMiP) including:

o support in determination of project activities (tailoring) and scope in cooperation with the Project Manager for projects, SAR, product changes

o review and Approval of Quality Gates

o advice on process compliance (EP Rules & Regulations)

o active controlling to ensure process compliance for milestone release.

o review of all PLM documents and certification-relevant development documents for completeness and plausibility

o proper application

o correct releases

o process-compliant storage of documents (e.g. storage in the project directory)

• monitors and confirms the production of all decisive and approved technical changes

• responsible for all aspects of quality during SCM integration and the production life cycle and manages them through defined quality objectives

• quality requirements in the product definition (RS/FS) throughout the product life cycle

• qualification of purchased parts throughout the product life cycle

• support technical data management

• provides information on trends in test technologies and methods

• participates in purchasing product qualification, sourcing, preventive quality assurance, serial release, complaints and supplier management

• supports development throughout the entire product lifecycle as part of the product improvement

This role is based in Kalwa, where you’ll get the chance to work with teams impacting our business by improving customer satisfaction in many countries all over the globe – and the shape of things to come.

A team player with 7-8 years of experience in quality management in electronic manufacturing industry with hands-on experience and knowledge of electronic product assembly and testing, validation.

Knowledge of standards related to PCB, APCB, power electronics, IPC610 will be added advantage.

Experience in business of low voltage products will be added advantage.

Qualification: Degree/Diploma in Electronics

• Analysis and problem-solving skills, including electronic circuit analysis

• Knowledge of measuring instruments e.g. Oscilloscope

• Result orientation,

• Customer focus,

• knowledge of product assembly/ manufacturing process – EMS

• Basic knowledge of component manufacturing – plastic and metal,

• Ability to support & initiate, drive process improvement related quality,

• A good knowledge of relevant international standards is preferred,

• Building network and partnerships, providing guidance as necessary,

• Effective involvement and persuasion strategies,

• Willingness and pleasure to work in a global network,

• Communication and presentation skills,

• Excellent working knowledge with IT tools (excel, PowerPoint etc.)

• Knowledge of ISO 9001, ISO 14001
