Position Summary

The Line & Ramp Communications Coordinator is required to coordinate and communicate all aircraft operational activities to both Customer Service and Line & Ramp Teams. This role has a direct responsibility for, but not limited to, ensuring that all aircraft are covered, serviced, and closed within a timely manner. This role further serves customer needs and the requirements of their aircraft in accordance with Jet Aviation policies and procedures.

Compensation Data

The posted salary ranges will default to that of your regional location and will not include any premiums. The baseline range will be as follows: $21.00 - $23.00 per hour

Minimum Requirements

  • High School Diploma/GED

  • Ability to keep attention to detail, a professional and courteous demeanor and the ability to handle a high-volume of email traffic, phone calls, documentation and communication with various teams and leadership.

  • Excellent time management skills

  • Proficient in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Teams) and solid general computer skills and ability to enter data into spreadsheets and Word documents.

  • Ability to perform daily duties without direct supervision both independently and as part of a team.

  • Availability to work different shifts, including weekends and holidays.

  • Ability to work under difficult weather conditions: rain, sun, heat, and cold.

  • Ability to communicate in English fluently, both written and verbally.

  • Minimum two years’ work experience in aviation field.

  • Must be at least 18 years of age, have a valid drivers license with a clean driving record.

  • Ability to work flexible schedules and in various weather conditions as well as meeting minimum physical requirements of the job described below in the “Physical Demands/Work Environment” section

  • Must obtain an Airport ID Badge within 30 days of employment

Main Responsibilities

  • Maintains Ramp Safety/Security by enforcing airport rules and regulations and responsible for adhering to all Company safety policies and procedures.

  • Closely monitors flight schedules and answers radio calls from aircrafts and disseminates information (arrival time/departure time, required services, etc.) to the appropriate departments ensuring resources are distributed to mitigate any potential delays.

  • Communicates regularly, as necessary, with all departments and aircrafts regarding the coordination of the aircraft’s services.

  • Tracks and maintains accurate records of all aircraft arrival and departure information using applicable Company software

  • Communicates with Customs and Border Patrol regarding international arrivals and departures

  • Establishes and maintains solid professional relationships with all aircraft Pilots and Crew

  • Generate daily and monthly reports for management and other team members

  • Responsible for informing management of unusual occurrences or the need for management intervention.

  • Assist FBO with other line & ramp duties such as catering, aircraft amenities (ice, water, coffee), coordinating ground transportation for customers, serves as backup for answering phones and other necessary services.

  • Other duties may be assigned, as needed.

  • Represents Jet Aviation as one company internally and externally with industry groups, regulatory bodies and the General Dynamics network.

Desired Characteristics

  • Customer Service experience preferred

  • Previous experience working in an aviation/airport environment is highly desired.

  • Two years’ related experience as a line service technician and/or training; or equivalent combination of education and experience strongly preferred.

The employee must be able to work in both a heavy maintenance environment and in upscale customer areas. The noise level in the work environment is usually moderate with occasional high volume when aircrafts arrive/depart. The employee is frequently exposed to vibration. Occasional fuel fumes may permeate the workplace. Employee must be willing and able to work in all types of weather conditions. The noise level in the work environment is usually loud. The Hangar environment may be extreme hot and cold during certain seasons of the year
