Job Description

Omni Tempe Hotel at ASUis seeking aRestaurant Managerto join our restaurant operations leadership team. The primary responsibility of the role will be leadingNeighborhood Services, our three-meal restaurant concept. Working closely with the Director of Outlets, we expect that our chosen individual will be highly organized, motivated and polished. This role will be critical to helping build a high-performing team that executes top-tier customer service and creates exceptional unique experiences. Neighborhood Services will be an elevated American-fare concept that delivers made-from-scratch favorites. This position will also help with the management of our other outlets on property as needed.

Responsibilities

  • Team Leadership: Assist in the pre-opening team training, ensuring adherence to Omni and Neighborhood Services standards. Cultivate a high-performing team that delivers unparalleled customer service and unique experiences.

  • Operational Excellence: Oversee daily operations during peak periods, ensuring consistent and elevated guest experiences. Maintain a safe, clean environment in compliance with company, local, state, and federal guidelines.

  • Service and Quality Management: Work closely with the Director of Outlets, Restaurant Manager, and Executive Chef to ensure top-quality food and service. Handle guest escalations with superior service.

  • Performance Management: Manage and elevate staff performance, fostering a culture of success and positive team dynamics.

  • Strategic Planning: Monitor and critique food quality and consistency. Conduct pre-meal meetings for cohesive service, manage side-work efficiency, and ensure VIP guests receive memorable experiences.

  • Administrative Duties: Utilize computer systems proficiently, including Microsoft Office and Windows, with a preference for Micros POS experience.

Qualifications

  • Minimum of 2 years Food & Beverage Management experience, preferably in a luxury 4 diamond hotel. When considering experience, managerial skills, leadership talents, administrative experience and a hospitality professional mindset will be considered.

  • Candidate must demonstrate a proven track record of successfully managing in an upscale Food & Beverage environment; with strong front of the house experience.

  • Proven leadership skills which support an environment of employee growth and development, interdepartmental teamwork and exceptional customer service.

  • Must be service and detail oriented, possessing a friendly approachable demeanor and strong problem-solving skills.

  • Computer proficiency; to include Microsoft Office and Windows, Micros POS experience preferred.

  • Ability to stand and/or walk for long periods of time and lift/push/pull up to 40lbs.

  • Must have a TIPS certification

  • Must be able to work a flexible schedule including nights, weekends and holidays.

*This position is a full-time, on-site position with no work from home flexibility.
