Grow your career as a Technical Business Analyst with an innovative global bank. Contract role with strong possibility of extension. Will require working a hybrid schedule 2-3 days onsite per week.

Will be responsible for establishing, formalizing, and maintaining relationships with business unit leaders within the company’s environment that supply and/or consume data from the business unit. Will be responsible for generating emails, setting up meetings, building enquires regarding said relationship, and to set plans for our multi-disciplinary team. Will be required to communicate to multiple reports, each of whom have their own objectives and responsibilities. Will also be responsible for bringing in new data feeds for the project. This includes all the above as well as, expanding the capacity of the current in-house application(s), recommending infrastructure and data structure improvements for this new program. You will work alongside some of the smartest minds in the industry who are excited to share their knowledge and to learn from you.

Required Skills & Experience

  • Bachelor's degree/University degree.

  • 5+ years of experience as a Technical Business Analyst with comprehensive knowledge of the principles of business analysis..

  • Experience supporting large technical development projects in an enterprise environment.

  • Experience acting as the liaison between business & technical development teams.

  • Must have very good skills writing User Stories – breaking down epics into user stories, grooming requirements.

  • Good understanding of upstream & downstream impacts to the business at a very high level and able to explain that to business stakeholders.

  • Understand why and how a technical requirement can be implemented.

  • Understand workflows - Business Process Models (BPMN); any process modelling tool preferred.

  • Strong experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle and Agile/Scrum methodologies.

  • Familiar with APIs, Java/Angular, and Python.

  • Experience with SQL, relational database and datasets.

  • Able to write SQL queries.

  • Deep experience using Jira.

  • Ability to read JSON code.

  • Proficient in MS Office and Visio.

  • Excellent communication and relationship building skills.

Desired Skills & Experience

  • Financial Services industry experience.

  • Scripting experience.

  • UAT experience

  • Design tools like Magic Draw.

  • Knowledge of Business Process Models (BPMN), any process modelling tool.

What You Will Be Doing

  • Will work with business stakeholders to gather business requirements.

  • Will evaluate and process BRD into needs for technical development team

  • Will consider upstream & downstream impacts to the business and explain impacts to stakeholders.

  • Lead integration between business units, through emails, setting up meetings, building enquires of relationships, and to setting plans for multi-disciplinary team.

  • Provide input during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of systems scope, objectives, and necessary system enhancements.

  • Identify and communicate risks and impacts and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.

  • Consult with Business Partners to determine system functional specifications and partner with multiple leadership teams to meet organizational objectives.

  • Evaluate new IT needs along with evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems, and industry standards.

  • Provide in-depth and deep dive analysis with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decisions.

  • Consult with business end users to ensure appropriate integration of functions to meet goals and define necessary system enhancements to deploy new projects and process enhancements.

  • Assist system change processes from strategy through implementation by providing technical knowledge to ensure efficiency.

  • Work with internal and external parties to achieve business goals and negotiate with external parties as needed.

  • Provide evaluative judgments based on analysis of information in complicated and unique situations.
