The Opportunity

The Senior Controls Consultant is Responsible for representing Sales Compensation Administration across US - Group and Holdings. Responsible for completion SOX questionnaire and reviewing with leadership for sign off if questionnaire.

Success in this role requires Comprehensive knowledge of compliance principals and related company policies and government regulations.

The Senior Controls Consultant is responsible for Managing open risks and Coordinates training and communication with designated compliance personnel. You’ll collaborate closely with Legal, Compliance, Agile Development team, Risk and Auditing, Sales Compensation - Holdings and Group in an environment where every contribution is respected, and every perspective is heard.

How You’ll Help Us Build a Confident Future (Key Responsibilities)

  • · Responsible for representing Sales Compensation Administration across US - Group and Holdings

· Responsible for completion SOX questionnaire and reviewing with leadership for sign off if questionnaire.

· Providing the weekly Sales Comp Admin’s Risk-Based Controls Testing Update presentation between Holdings, Group management and sending to VP.

· Represent SCA team in bi-weekly meetings on RBCT Touchbase: Sales Compensation meeting with Operational Risk and provide updates on status of SII and ensuring timely completion of SII.

· Create monthly shared service risk slide to be sent to SVP metrics and reporting review meeting. This would include all of shared service updates and coordinating to get their information.

· Manage open risks with the appropriate leader to ensure action plans are in system two weeks prior to do date to allow time for auditing to review prior to due date.

· Point of contact on audits and ensuring data is pulled into appropriate storage folders timely and accurately. Working closely with process owner to pull the sample data needed.

· Management of open pages for team to ensure controls are current with descriptions of the control.

· Responsible for the NY Market Conduct Survey and the NYQQ for both Holding and Group.

· Responsible for quarterly HIPAA compliance update

· Represent Shared Service (SCA, APU, Webtech, etc) in monthly meetings with Laura Fischer and send minutes to ensure we are all aligned.

· Develops and maintains a compliance review program and performs moderately complex audits of processes to ensure compliance with stated procedures. Identifies issues and develops action plans and responds to related inquiries.

· Performs audits verifying action plans are implemented properly and timely.

· Consults the business related to proposed and implemented legislative changes.

· Escalates issues not being appropriately addressed to management and/or compliance.

· Seeks guidance and counsel from Corporate Compliance and Corporate Legal regarding complex controls related inquiries, concerns, and/or regulations.

· Coordinates training and communication with designated compliance personnel.

· Performs other duties as required or assigned.

What You Need to Succeed (Required Qualifications)

  • · Comprehensive knowledge of compliance principals and related company policies and government regulations.

· 7+ years of related work experience.

· Bachelor’s degree in related field.

· Competencies: Analytical, strong computer skills, communication skills, and makes sound business decisions.
