Citigroup Product Owner and Technology Business Lead Analyst - VP in Tampa, Florida
Product Owner and Technology Business Lead Analyst that will join a team responsible for a diverse portfolio of technology products/projects in support of Enterprise Services and Public Affairs (ESPA).
Success in this senior-level position will require working closely with internal business owners and stakeholders to ensure requirements, strategic direction and vision is met. You will be part of a technology product team that supports a high visibility and diverse group of business teams that include Public Affairs, Global Real Estate, Environmental Social Governance (ESG), Client and Content Services, Community Investment & Development and Aviation.
The overall objective of this role is to contribute to continuous iterative exploration and investigation of business performance and other measures to gain insight and drive business planning.
Responsibilities:
Provide input during development and implementation phases, including formulation and definition of systems scope, objectives and necessary system enhancements for complex, high impact projects.
Identify and communicate risks and impacts and propose risk mitigation options, considering business implications of the application of technology to the current business environment.
Consult with business clients to determine system functional specifications and partner with multiple management teams and other units to meet organizational objectives.
Evaluate new IT developments and evolving business requirements and recommend appropriate systems alternatives and/or enhancements to current systems by analyzing business processes, systems and industry standards.
Provide in-depth and sophisticated analyses with interpretive thinking to define problems, develop innovative solutions and influence strategic functional decisions.
Act as advisor or coach to new or lower-level analysts and work as a team to achieve business objectives, performing other duties and functions as assigned
Technical project management (waterfall & agile) with oversight of application life cycle from inception to completion. Ensure all projects adhere to requirement standards and reporting requirements.
Appropriately assess risk when business decisions are made, demonstrating consideration for the firm's reputation and safeguarding Citigroup, its clients and assets, by driving compliance with applicable laws, rules and regulations, adhering to Policy, applying sound ethical judgment regarding personal behavior, conduct and business practices, and escalating, managing and reporting control issues with transparency.
Can exercise independence of judgement and autonomy.
Acts as SME to senior stakeholders and /or other team members.
Qualifications:
6-10 years of experience in the Product Technology industry
3 years’ experience with Project Management (Waterfall and/or Agile).
Ability to understand technical details and explain complex topics to non-technical business colleagues and managers.
Experience working with and managing relationships with a variety of stakeholders including business leadership, engineering teams, cloud/SaaS vendor technology partners and digital agencies highly desired.
Proven interpersonal, data analysis, diplomatic, management and prioritization skills.
Experience with all phases of Software Development Life Cycle
Comprehensive knowledge of the principles of business analysis
Excellent communications skills a must. Consistently demonstrate clear and concise written and verbal communication
Preferences:
- Project Management and/or technical certifications a plus
