Responsible for overseeing, managing and supporting all activities of the construction defect claims team and claim files under your supervision within your respective construction defect team.
This is a fully remote role.
ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES
Following is a summary of the essential functions for this job. Other duties may be performed, both major and minor, which are not mentioned below. Specific activities may change from time to time.
Manage the supervision, development and coordination of your claims team.
Organize, analyze, and disseminate information that affects the claims department to ensure necessary changes for compliance purposes.
Control workflow process through reviewing allocation of staff to ensure productivity and quality standards meet or exceed expected goals.
Review, analyze, track and take appropriate action on losses.
Train claims staff on policies or procedures.
Oversee and audit claims ensuring proper documentation was created in the system and/or files.
Review claims and approve reserves/payments under the appropriate binding authorities.
Develop and maintain excellent relationships with adjusters, peer claim managers, underwriters, brokers, insureds and other parties involved in the claims handling process.
QUALIFICATIONS
Required Qualifications:

College degree with a concentration in business or equivalent work experience
Five years of Claims handling experience
Maintain Necessary Adjusting licenses in all jurisdictions handled
Ability to make independent decisions following company guidelines with minimal or no supervision
Good organizational, time management, and detail skills
Extensive knowledge of insurance
Ability to maintain a high level of business acumen and professionalism
Excellent leadership skills to influence teammates in a positive manner
Possess strong interpersonal skills
Strong verbal and written communication skills
Strong computer and office skills
Ability to work extended hours when necessary
Preferred Qualifications:
Commercial and multi-line knowledge
Supervisory experience in Claims
