CNC Machinist
Job Description
We are seeking a skilled CNC Machinist with excellent mechanical aptitude and experience in operating and setting up CNC mills and lathes. The ideal candidate will be proficient with machine tools, including lathes used for cutting, turning, and milling. This role requires strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills, as well as the ability to read blueprints and mechanical drawings. You will be working with CNC Turning, 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis setup/operator for mill and lathe machines, machining hardened steel components and aluminum while maintaining extremely tight tolerances.
Responsibilities
Operate and set up CNC mills and lathes.
Work with CNC Turning, 3-axis, 4-axis, and 5-axis machines.
Read and interpret blueprints and mechanical drawings.
Utilize precision measurement tools such as Micrometers, Calipers, Indicators, and Depth Micrometers.
Familiarity with in-cycle probing and modern machining tools/techniques.
Maintain tight tolerances while machining hardened steel components and aluminum.
Troubleshoot and solve mechanical issues during the machining process.
Essential Skills
At least 4 years of experience in setting up and operating CNC mills or lathes.
Strong mechanical aptitude.
Proficiency in reading blueprints and mechanical drawings.
Experience with precision measurement tools.
Good analytical skills.
High school diploma or equivalent.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with both mills and lathes is a plus, but candidates with experience in one will be cross-trained on the other.
Knowledge of in-cycle probing and modern machining tools/techniques.
