SENIOR MANAGEMENT ANALYST SUPERVISOR

POSITION SUMMARY:

This position is responsible for providing management consultant services to the Florida Department of Law Enforcement and other agencies to improve operations and ensure efficient and effective accomplishment of agency objectives. This position works independently and supervises teams to accomplish objectives established in the agency strategic plan and the Division of Criminal Justice Information Services.

DUTIES & RESPONSIBILITIES:

Specific duties include:

  • Assisting section members with determining overall objectives, developing work plans and conducting annual reviews of supervised members;

  • Conducting audits of businesses as required by Florida Statutes 448.09 as part of the E-Verify process;

  • Preparing correspondence and communicating directly with businesses across Florida to request additional employment verification records;

  • Reviewing employee documentation to insure businesses are following the I-9 E-Verify process;

  • Maintaining familiarity with proper legal documentation that can be utilized for immigration processes;

  • Continuously reviewing Federal law related to immigration issues and Temporary Permanent Status Injunctions issued by the Federal Immigration Office; and

  • Coordinating information sharing with local, state, federal institutions as it relates to authorized employment, including referrals to appropriate law enforcement agencies when apparent or suspected fraudulent documents are encountered.

    To be considered as a potential candidate, you must meet the minimum qualifications(s) listed below. Degrees must be from an accredited college or university as recognized by the U.S. Department of Education.

    MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:

  • Four (4) years of experience in criminal justice, conducting audits, immigration processes, document analysis or management.

    KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS & ABILITIES:

  • Knowledge of the criminal justice system;

  • Knowledge of basic management principles and practices;

  • Knowledge of on-going law enforcement-related programs and functions of the Department;

  • Knowledge of Department policies and procedures;

  • Knowledge of audit/review processes and techniques;

  • Ability to conduct fact finding research, including interviewing, observation, and identifying/assessing written materials;

  • Ability to collect and carefully examine topics of review/inspection and identify deficiencies and corrective actions;

  • Ability to organize and effective/accurately communicate information both verbally and in writing; and

  • Ability to work independently or on a team and establish and maintain effective working relationships with others.

    BASE SALARY:

  • $66,950.00

    FDLE requires an extensive background process of all recommended applicants. This information will be utilized to make the final hiring decision.

    Preference will be given to current FDLE members who have satisfactorily completed at least six months of the probationary period for their current position.
