Your Specific Responsibilities:

This is a professional position responsible for technical guidance and video conferencing services for the Office of Information Technology supported staff across the Department.

  • Primary Tier 1 and 2 support for Video Conferencing systems.

  • Assists in training and troubleshooting of end point video services and uses established base line tests with off network video bridges and terminal equipment and does operator video services when needed.

  • Assist with video conferencing internal and Software as a Service (SaaS) systems utilized by the Department. The supported video conferencing systems and services include but are not limited to PexiP, Polycom/Hitachi Web-Suite, Teams, Go-To, and WebEx.

  • Assists with conference rooms and meetings hosted on DOH premises. Conference room support includes training meeting leads, assisting with room functionality, in-meeting support, monitoring, and troubleshooting in-meeting issues.

  • Under the guidance of senior Video Conferencing Team members, assist with conference room designs with vendors and assist with installation/implantation. Includes clearly articulating needs for conference rooms, seeking quotes from resellers/vendors, negotiating technical needs and pricing of room upgrades, assisting with procurement process, and working with installation team to ensure the desired build out is achieved.

  • Video Conferencing Infrastructure assistance. Under the guidance of senior Video Conferencing Team members, make system administration and configuration changes to the core video technology components including gatekeepers, directory services, off network traversal devices, interactive video streaming and transitional recording devices.

  • Under the direction of Video Conferencing Team Lead, maintain sufficient documentation for internal and external video systems used by the Department. The documentation includes Video Conferencing Team process documentation, troubleshooting documentation, technical documentation, and end user documentation.

  • Provides and maintains a high quality of customer and user support, assistance, and service. Responds to customers in a timely manner, troubleshoot, repair, provide answers to queries and requests submitted by internal users and external customers through the phone, email, web feedback, or the division’s Helpdesk Ticketing System. Provides solutions to user’s needs to maintain a productive use of the computer and network systems.

  • Other duties as assigned.

    Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:

    Proficient computer skills to include Word, Excel, PowerPoint and Outlook; knowledge of monitoring processes and/or working with ticketing software; knowledge of computer data bases; knowledge of laws, legal codes, court procedures and government rules & regulations; knowledge of the structure and content of the English language including the meaning and spelling of words, rules of composition, and grammar; understanding written sentences and paragraphs in work related documents; communicating effectively with others verbally and in writing; talking to others to effectively convey information; ability to establish and maintain effective working relationships with others; listening to what other people are saying and asking questions as appropriate; conduct fact-finding research; knowledge of the methods of data collection and analysis; organize data into logical format for presentation in reports, documents and other written materials; knowing how to find information and identifying essential information; finding ways to structure or classify multiple pieces of information; ability to plan, organize and prioritize work assignments; ability to work independently; ability to maintain a high degree of accuracy and close attention to detail; knowledge of the principles, practices and techniques of software configuration and release management; knowledge of software architecture, analysis, design, coding and testing; knowledge of computer programming languages; ability to write, code, test and debug computer programs; communicate technical data processing information effectively.

    Preferred Qualifications:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent; AND

  • One (1) year of technical experience with video conferencing systems; audio/video support; OR

  • Two (2) years of professional experience in an Information Technology related role to include process documentation; troubleshooting; technical support.

  • Must have a valid driver's license, satisfactorily complete a background investigation, fingerprinting, and participation in direct deposit are requirements for employment.
