Description and Requirements
We’re looking for Software Engineer for our OpenBMC initiative within the Infrastructure Solutions Group (ISG) at Lenovo. In this role you will be working with software engineers to design, develop, test, debug and document an OpenBMC stack for Lenovo servers. Your specialization is around kernel and device drivers. As a member of the strategic OpenBMC development team you will be working with a group of industry leading team members to create optimized customer solutions to bring to market. With Lenovo’s broad product line, including Cloud Based Servers, IoT Servers, and Enterprise Servers, you will be challenged to do the research and Development required to have a premium OpenBMC offering for each of these critical and growing market segments.
You will provide design, develop and maintaining to Lenovo’s OpenBMC stack.
You will follow the guidance and direction of the OpenBMC Platform Lead to support development efforts.
Responsibilities will include own components, modern C++ code quality reviewer and bug analysis.
You will participate in collaborative planning calls and status meetings.
Required Qualifications:
BS or MS degree in Computer Science, Software Engineering, Computer Engineering, or a similar degree or related software equivalent experience.
5+ years’ experience in modern C++ 14
3+ years’ experience in BMC Firmware development.
1+ years’ experience in OpenBMC
Expertise with Intel and/or AMD x86 system architectures.
Good knowledge of industry standards: IPMI, Redfish.
