Abbott Business Development Manager - Local Government Unit (LGU) in Taguig City, Philippines

Key Areas of Accountability

  • Develop and execute a comprehensive, scalable business development roadmap to penetrate the local government market nationwide (Regions, Provinces, Cities, Municipalities) for rapid diagnostic

  • Achieve an annual revenue target from local government rapid diagnostics business that grows year-over-year

  • Create a proven, replicable model for engaging local government entities and maximizing rapid diagnostic services spend

  • Identify high-potential prospects and decision-makers across municipalities, and local agencies through research, networking and lead generation tactics

  • Partner with marketing to create targeted campaigns demonstrating our local government rapid diagnostics expertise

  • Lead the strategic tender preparation, participation and post tender analysis and next steps Lead the execution of targeted multi-channel sales campaigns to educate prospects and drive brand value proposition on our rapid diagnostic capabilities.

  • Work closely with sales teams to develop winning proposals, pricing strategies, and contract negotiations that can be replicated nationwide

  • Influence LGU strategy implementation in partnership with the Regional Sales Managers and Sales Reps

  • Supports the business manager in building B2B collaborations. Works with media and digital agency partners to implement marketing plans. Works with Area and Global marketing to understand brand content and adapt to local context.

  • Establish and track metrics to measure performance against revenue targets and nationwide penetration goals

  • Develops, executes and tracks an annual marketing plan that defines the brand strategies and tactics across the consumer/patients, medical and retail touch points of ARDx IDEM brands through collaborations with cross functional teams and stakeholders.

  • Supports the business manager in gathering and assessing market data, including competitive information and market trends to create plans and necessary changes to ultimately meet customer needs.

  • Establish a robust nationwide pipeline of qualified sales opportunities within the local government sector

  • Serve as the evangelist for our solutions through local events, trade shows, city/county leadership meetings, etc.

  • Executes other duties as may be required by the direct manager and other superiors in the organization

Job Specification

Knowledge & Experience:

  • Demonstrated Brand Management / Trade Marketing Experience from a healthcare company, preferably OTC.

  • Demonstrated experience working with cross-functional teams.

  • Must have good project management skills and acumen of managing a P&L.

Minimum Qualification:

Bachelor's degree required; Master's degree in business, public administration, life sciences or related field preferred 7+ years of consultative business development and government/municipal sales experience Proven success developing scalable sales models, processes and rapidly driving revenue growth nationwide Demonstrated expertise creating efficiency through replicable programs, templates and documentation
