Overview of the job

Transportation Services (TMS) Application Manager

This role seeks for AM to understand and manage full lifecycle of application (from architecture direction to governing operations, overseeing upgrades and recommending sunset/replacement) via delivery of design options, development method approval (i.e. coding, testing standards applicable) and consulting services regarding TMS Application Management, in particular Global applications like Planning, Execution and Freight & Payment.

Your team

You will report to a Service Application Manager located who is based in Germany. Working in IT Team in P&G you will be part of the Transportation Services team leading one of the Critical Business Applications of the company.

How success looks like

• You have the ability to understand TMS in a more intimate level so that you can provide opinions and engage a deeper conversation with the technical delivery teams and external software vendor about additional functionality needed to support business processes.

• Supports Service Application Manager with portfolio execution.

• Supports Service Application Manager in business process changes and, where needed, driving them to requirements for application changes.

• Able to lead and drive training plan independently.

• Supports Key company initiatives.

Responsibilities of the role

• Quality requirements vetting,

• Efficient design recommendations

• Complete product documentation

• Governance (coding, testing) of TMS Service owned solutions and changes

• Functional and technical design documentation,

• Testing documentation including unit test results proving development is tested and defect free.

Job Qualifications

Role Requirements

• Ability to break down requirements and find solutions to complex problems, ensuring business needs are translated into proper technical specifications.

• 2+ years of SAP Application Management experience.

• English B2+

• 2+ years of Full AM lifecycle experience.

• 2+ TMS related applications experience.

• 2+ years of Project Management experience.

• Experience with DevOps, CI/CD, product management frameworks (JIRA, Azure DevOps, etc.) and cloud platforms (Azure preferably).

• Strong team-orientation with the ability to maintain partnerships with other team members (business owners, product managers, architects, software developers, data engineers, etc.).

• Strong verbal and written communication skills, with ability to adjust the message to various audiences and manage multiple streams of work concurrently.

• Business Transformation Preferred

• Enterprise Architecture Preferred.

• Agile Preferred.
