Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 7 years of experience as an HR Business Partner, HR Generalist or HR professional providing consultations to the business on topics such as performance management, workplace concerns, etc.

  • Experience managing multiple stakeholders.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Experience in HR, people programs, or other large-scale people related roles.

  • Experience with cross-functional collaboration and influence.

  • Experience coaching and mentoring others.

  • Ability to communicate in English, Portuguese, and Spanish fluently to support client facing consultations.

  • Ability to be client-service orientated, with a focus on delivering exceptional customer service.

  • Excellent people management, consultation, teamwork, and organizational skills.

The People Consultant team is an advocate of Google's culture and values, partnering with our business leaders to help them build their organizations and make sure all people decisions are based on data. Whether coaching our clients on how to lead their teams, navigating and resolving employee relations issues or managing programs that help develop our Googlers, you are exceptionally focused on putting them first, and being as clear and transparent as possible to help Googlers understand how people decisions get made.

Whether recruiting the next Googler, refining our core programs, developing talent, or simply looking for ways to inject some more fun into the lives of our Googlers, we bring a data-driven approach that is reinventing the human resources field. You’ll play an essential role advancing a more diverse, accessible, equitable, and inclusive Google through our hiring, promotion, retention, and inclusion practices.

  • Deliver dynamic consultations on various People topics (reorganizations, compensation, talent management, team/leadership effectiveness, change management/transformation, etc.) aligned to People Operations' menu of services.

  • Support HR program deployment through dynamic consultations for a Product Area, market, or HR service line.

  • Identify and advocate scalable solutions for people processes, engaging executive leaders when needed.

  • Identify areas requiring change, activating, and leveraging People Experience/People Operations stakeholders and drive cross-team collaboration to improve the Googler experience.

  • Develop comprehensive knowledge of Google-wide HR policies, local/market legal and regulatory knowledge, of Google-wide HR policies and People Operations menu of services and understand how to navigate the People Operations ecosystem in order to effectively service Googlers and managers and leaders. Lead market and/or service area specific POps programs and initiatives.
