NORTH DAVIS SEWER DISTRICT Plant Operator I-IV in SYRACUSE, Utah

Education and Experience :

A.    Graduation from high school or GED equivalent.

B.   Minimum Experience as follows:

  •      Five (5) years experience in treatment plant operations (Grade IV Operator)
  •      Four (4) years experience in treatment plant operations (Grade III Operator)
  •      Two (2) years experience in treatment plant operations (Grade II Operator)
  •      Entry level 2 years work experience.

C.  An equivalent combination of education and experience.

D.  Preference may be given to a candidate who currently has a Utah Wastewater Treatment   Operator Certification Grade IV.

 

Essential Job Functions:

·         Monitors, operates, and maintains wastewater treatment plant equipment and biological processes.

·         Monitors and operates valves, starts, and stops pumps to adjust flow and collects wastewater samples.

·         Monitors SCADA system for plant equipment alarms.

·         Conducts plant tours.

·         Maintains plant buildings and grounds.

·         Performs preventative maintenance, minor repairs and other related job duties as assigned.

Special Qualifications:

·         Must be able to walk, lift, reach, stoop, stand, grasp, balance, climb, kneel, crouch, lift up to 50 pounds frequently, and cl imb inside a manhole.

·         Basic computer literacy.

·         Must possess a valid Utah State driver's license and a Class B CDL or obtain in 12 months.

·         Must be willing to work on-call, (24-hour), and be able to respond to plant site within 30 minutes of an emergency call out and be a member of the Emergency Response Team

·         Must be willing to work rotating swing-shift.
