Responsibilities

Responsible for all functions relating to qualified retirement plan participant distributions including preparing and mailing distribution packages to participants, assisting participants in the completion of the forms, distribution billing, specific tax reporting requirements and follow-up with clients and/or participants where necessary.

  • Prepare specific distribution packages for participants based on requests submitted by administrators.
  • Prepare and submit annual tax reporting requirements (1099R, 945, etc.).
  • Assist participants in completion of distribution forms where appropriate.
  • Track distributions and follow up with client/participant/administrator/vendor where needed.
  • Maintain knowledge of industry rules and regulations with regard to notice requirements and timeliness issues.
  • Process Federal withholding payments where necessary.
  • Deposit IRS withholdings for applicable distributions
  • Reconcile IRS withholding bank account.
  • Track distribution billing and submit information for processing.
  • Any other duties specific to participant distributions as may be assigned.

Qualifications

Education:

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • College Degree preferred

Experience/Skills:

  • Working knowledge of Microsoft Office Suite and understanding of related computer applications
  • Strong organizational skills with an attention to detail
  • Strong interpersonal skills
  • Excellent oral and written communication skills requiring attention to detail
  • Ability to work independently or as part of a team
  • Working knowledge or prior experience in the pension field preferred

Hours: 40 hours/week

Compensation: Commensurate with experience plus potential for annual merit increase.
