Department/Unit Summary

In our 86 and 48-bed facilities, you will be a crucial part of the Respiratory team. You will have the opportunity to work at both Harris and Swain and work with patients in the ICU, ED, General Therapy and even our Special Care Nursery by practicing with protocol driven therapies. The RT will be collaborating with Pulmonologist, Cardiologist and Neonatologist. You will respond as a team member to all Rapid Response and Code Blue pages.

Qualifications and requirements:

Licenses:

Licensed as Registered Respiratory Therapist with the NC Board of Respiratory Therapy and Respiratory Care Practitioner (RCP) with National Board of Respiratory Care (nbrc.org)

Certifications:

• American Heart Association (AHA) Basic Life Support (BLS) is preferred
• American Red Cross (ARC) is acceptable. Must attain within 30 days of hire and maintain thereafter.
• AHA Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) is preferred. American Red Cross (ARC) is acceptable - attain within 3 months of hire if working in the Acute Care setting
• AHA Neonatal Resuscitation Program (NRP) - within 3 months of hire if working in the Acute Care setting**
