What does this role look like for you?

  • Managing the Quality and food Safety Management systems. To frequently audit processes, product specifications, systems and procedures laid down by Diageo to ensure that quality requirements are met in the Packaging, Utilities, Asset care, Environment, Receiving (in-coming goods) store and finished goods warehouse.

  • Working with the Site Leadership team to continuously implement and improve Food Safety and Quality procedures and standards.

  • To comply with the relevant Diageo Global Risk Management Standards, Brand Technical Manuals and Standards.

  • Plan and develop performance, standards, frameworks, and capabilities to meet the site scorecard targets, aligned with Diageo’s Strategy.

  • Risk Management:

  • Conduct regular risk assessments to identify, analyze, and mitigate risks that could impact the site operations, reputation, or financial stability.

  • Develop and implement risk management strategies and plans.

  • Monitor and report on risk exposure and risk tolerance levels.

  • Compliance Oversight:

  • Ensure compliance with all relevant laws, regulations, and standards, including related to manufacturing, warehouse and distribution.

  • Oversee the development and implementation of compliance programs and initiatives.

  • Conduct or facilitate internal and external audits and inspections.

  • Reporting and Documentation:

  • Prepare and present reports on governance, risk, and compliance activities and outcomes to site leadership team and relevant committees.

  • Ensure comprehensive records of risk assessments, compliance activities, audits, and corrective actions are maintained.

  • Oversight responsibility of supplier standards adherence and set annual audit programs to ensure compliance.

What will you bring to the table?

Qualifications:

  • College degree level qualification or equivalent ideally in any Science-related discipline or qualified through relevant experience. Formal Six sigma qualification desirable.

  • Relevant qualification (General Certificate in Spirits/RTD Packaging) or willing to complete within 12 months.

Experience:

  • A proven track record in managing people and or small teams, projects and cross-functional team working.

  • Significant experience leading audits and audit programmes

  • Great engagement and communication skills

  • Experience of coaching and influencing a range of stakeholders for success

  • At least 7 years’ experience in a process environment.

  • Has delivered change programmes in a production led environment.

  • Typically educated to degree standard in Governance or science related discipline or qualified through relevant experience.

  • Overall, good knowledge of Governance legislation and standards

  • Advanced competency in Diageo Quality & Governance capability framework
