The Regional Enterprise Marketing team at Amazon Ads partners with the global brand and content marketing team and regional business leaders to deliver brand campaigns and initiatives that engage and delight our international customers. We are seeking an experienced marketing manager for Australia. Primary outputs for this role include creating regionally-relevant marketing initiatives, such as Amazon-owned events, industry events, trade content and narratives to drive awareness, brand familiarity, and consideration amongst our advertiser and agency audiences. The ideal candidate has executed B2B marketing campaigns in either a global or local capacity, and has experience driving brand engagement for a high growth business. The right person will be able to work collaboratively with internal stakeholders including regional sales leads, content marketers, channel marketers, and data analysts. This is a fast-moving role, requiring strong prioritization and communication skills. Day-to-day activities will change constantly as our business grows and this person can expect to build marketing programs that reaches thousands of advertisers. Being flexible and comfortable with ambiguity will be required for success. The ideal candidate is able to conduct themselves autonomously, successfully manage a demanding project pipeline, and effectively communicate and foster strong relationships with the team.

Key job responsibilities

  • Build and execute the country marketing plan aligned to local business needs and priorities with sales leaders and central marketing; contribute to marketing business reviews to measure the effectiveness of local marketing programs

  • Own the strategy and planning of country events (Amazon-owned and industry events), working with agencies and ensuring bar-raising execution. Deliverables include event marketing, budget, logistics, communications, event tech, gifting, onsite execution, playbooks, measurement and reporting.

  • Develop customer-facing content like customer case studies, keynote presentations, and other forms of branded content to support awareness and consideration goals.

  • Work cross-functionally with the central marketing team, product, sales, and analysts, legal, and PR to deliver accurate positioning and storytelling of our products and solutions

  • Collaborate with internal and external insights team to identify opportunities and create powerful insights and proof points to execute strong narratives for our audience.

  • Identify marketing channels to effectively communicate with our advertising customers in-region

  • Work with and through trade publications to incentivize the development of engaging content to drive awareness Amazon Ads

About the team

The Regional Enterprise Marketing team exists to accelerate adoption of Amazon Ads’ full-funnel solutions by engaging enterprise brand customers and large agency partners across international locales. We are local customer obsessed, and our team is tasked with delivering high-impact, scalable brand moments that drive awareness and deepen comprehension of Amazon Ads solutions, while reflecting regional cultures and environments.

Basic Qualifications

  • 4+ years of professional non-internship marketing experience

  • 3+ years of experience owning and scaling events

  • Experience building, executing and scaling cross-functional marketing programs

  • Experience using data and metrics to determine impact and drive improvements

  • Proficient with MS Excel, Word, and PPT

  • Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Business, Marketing or other related area

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in the advertising industry, digital marketing, or business-to-business (B2B) environment

  • Experience with direct content creation and developing new ways to deliver impactful content to customers

  • Managing external agencies (B2B and creative)

  • Knowledge of Bizzabo, Jifflenow, or other event automation and project management software
