We are looking for a Global Sales Compensation Strategic Business Process Manager (BPM) to join our team as a valued partner in strategy, process design, solutions, and partner engagement. You will be responsible for leading and managing the end-to-end business processes for sales compensation initiatives across the lines of business (LOBs), ensuring seamless integration between business operations and technical applications and tools. This role involves strategic planning, process improvement, and project management to ensure the effective implementation and optimization of sales compensation programs. The Strategic BPM will also serve as a thought leader and partner to cross functional leaders through building relationships, fostering open dialogue, and providing creative solutions to issues in real time.

You are also able to analyze and anticipate the needs of your partners and your manager, with a focus on moving these initiatives forward to completion.  You will provide strategic guidance and direction, along with analyzing data and removing business obstacles.  You can perform flawlessly and professionally in a challenging and extremely fast-paced environment, while also having the grace and willingness to change direction when circumstances demand. You will have a level of integrity and confidentiality with sensitive information, while driving to get things done.  

This role will report into a Director+, Global Sales Compensation leader.

Responsibilities:

  • Lead the solutioning to define the requirements for Global or LOB compensation design initiatives, including annual planning, mid-year planning, pilots, and spiffs.

  • Conduct process discovery, mapping, and evaluations to identify gaps, issues and opportunities for improvement.

  • Set the priorities and roadmap for each initiative, ensuring alignment with organizational goals.

  • Maintain a working knowledge of Global Sales Compensation (GSC) systems and operational processes; collaborate with cross-company architects to assess feasibility, risks, and impacts of proposed strategies and solutions.

  • Manage communications between business and technical teams to bridge the gap between business objectives and technical solutions.

  • Own and document the comprehensive business requirements to ensure the successful implementation of all prioritized intake (Front Door) items and sales compensation plan designs.

  • Consult and collaborate with cross functional GSC teams to design, develop, and implement solutions that align with organizational objectives.

  • Ensure thorough testing and validation of solutions before deployment; own UAT planning, including documenting use cases, facilitating test case and test data preparation, and coordinating environment setup. Oversee UAT execution, supporting testers, managing defect resolution, and escalating issues as needed.

  • Evaluate change management needs; provide content for enablement assets to ensure stakeholders are well-informed and trained on new processes and programs.

  • Analyze the current and desired states of GSC processes; utilize BPM workflow tools to streamline and automate compensation processes for increased accuracy and efficiency.

  • Manage, track, and evaluate all LOB initiatives and their outcomes

  • Able to travel occasionally.

Basic Qualifications:

  • 8+ years of experience in Sales Compensation roles with experience in plan design, business process management, system implementation and sales compensation business operations

  • Served as business owner or project manager in the design and implementation of compensation plans in at least one ICM system: Xactly, Callidus, Varicent, etc.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Ability to strongly collaborate and positively influence cross-functional leaders and stakeholders who are part of the incentive compensation management process, including sales leadership, finance, operations, systems, human resources, and legal

  • Experience with technical consulting, solutions management, engagement management and product management

  • Certification in Business Process Management (BPM/BPMN) and/or Project Management (PMP)

  • Proven project management skills and in-depth knowledge of sales compensation mechanics, operations, procedures, and processes.

  • Self-starter/” get things done” mentality with the ability to lean in and partner with all business levels to make decisions and deliver solutions and desired outcomes.

  • Robust planning and time management skills with the ability to manage multiple deliverables to tight timelines.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills.

  • Possesses a growth mindset and acts as a change agent to drive improvements across the compensation ecosystem

  • Hard working, responsive, and communicative with a strong attention to detail

  • Strong people and interpersonal skills, with the ability to assertively support a dynamic sales organization

  • Willingness and inclination to mentor and help others grow outside of immediate team

  • Advanced analytical and modeling skills with the ability to interpret and analyze data to present concisely to senior sales management

  • Familiarity with the sales cycle and CRM experience: SFDC, Dynamics, Anaplan etc.

  • Working knowledge of local employment law, as it pertains to sales compensation

  • Proficient with Microsoft 365 (Power BI, Power Automate, Visio, Project, SharePoint, Word, Excel, PowerPoint, CoPilot)

The pay range for this role is $130,000 to $210,000. Actual compensation packages are based on several factors that are unique to each candidate, including but not limited to skill set, depth of experience, certifications, and specific work location. This may be different in other locations due to differences in the cost of labor.
