Google Senior Staff Software Engineer, Workload Identity Management in Sunnyvale, California

Minimum qualifications:

  • Bachelor's degree or equivalent practical experience.

  • 8 years of experience in software development, and with data structures/algorithms.

  • 7 years of experience building software for identity and access management or security.

  • 5 years of experience with design and architecture; and testing/launching software products.

Preferred qualifications:

  • Master’s degree or PhD in Engineering, Computer Science, or a related technical field.

  • 5 years of experience in a technical leadership role leading project teams and setting technical direction.

  • 3 years of experience working in a complex, matrixed organization involving cross-functional, and/or cross-business projects.

We are a team in the Google Cloud Platform (GCP) Cloud Security organization responsible for delivering workload identity platform and products. These are critical to all GCP services and customers. Our mission is to enable secure-by-default, transparent, and seamless workload-to-workload and workload-to-GCP access for GCP customers.

Our customers’ workloads and services can reside within GCP, on-premises data centers, or other cloud providers. Customers grant their workloads permission to access their GCP resources securely. Internally, GCP service teams use Workload Identity to access customers’ GCP resources on their behalf. We also offer Identity Federation solutions to support customers who prefer integrating with their existing Identity and Access Management system.Google Cloud accelerates every organization’s ability to digitally transform its business and industry. We deliver enterprise-grade solutions that leverage Google’s cutting-edge technology, and tools that help developers build more sustainably. The US base salary range for this full-time position is $237,000-$337,000 + bonus + equity + benefits. Our salary ranges are determined by role, level, and location. The range displayed on each job posting reflects the minimum and maximum target for new hire salaries for the position across all US locations. Within the range, individual pay is determined by work location and additional factors, including job-related skills, experience, and relevant education or training.
