The Amazon Smart Vehicles team is looking for a product leader to define and create the next generation automotive digital experiences, both in and around the car. Specifically this position will directly influence our new business and product launches by working closely with our business development teams, commercial management, global financial systems teams, accounting operations, tax, treasury, and many others to deliver a scalable, secure, and flexible financial automation strategy.

Key job responsibilities

Our ideal candidate will have launched multiple, impactful products, have demonstrated the ability to lead high-performance teams, and have deep understanding of product management, user experience, and software development processes (especially agile). You will have designed and deployed FinTech or financial automation systems and understand the intricacies of working globally both B2C and B2B. You should be highly analytical, able to work effectively across teams, and thrive in entrepreneurial, fast-paced work environments. Key responsibilities include:

• Lead product strategy and vision supported by internal data and external analysis.

• Define creative, high quality, simple product requirements and roadmaps based on product strategy.

• Manage prioritization and trade-offs among customer experience, performance and operational support requirements.

• Create buy-in for the product vision both internally and with key partners

• Work closely with engineering teams to deliver products to market using agile development methodologies.

• Stay current and report on industry trends, including new opportunities, competitor capabilities, etc.

• Measure and analyze existing products and business models for opportunities to innovate and improve, providing additional benefits to developers and customers

• Proactively identify and resolve strategic issues that may impair the team’s ability to meet strategic, financial, and technical goals

A day in the life

You will drive requirements and execution of an innovative experience on behalf of Amazon customers. This role has high visibility, cross-functional in nature, and, involves working with both internal teams at Amazon and external to the company. You will be a Product Manager with dedicated ownership of financial automation for our entire portfolio of products. You will own product vision, synthesize customer and business requirements into product roadmaps, and, launch new features from start to finish. You will be a key champion of this product to the industry externally working directly with strategic partners.

Basic Qualifications

  • 5+ years of product or program management, product marketing, business development or technology experience

  • Bachelor's degree

  • Experience with feature delivery and tradeoffs of a product

  • Experience owning/driving roadmap strategy and definition

  • Experience with end to end product delivery

  • Experience contributing to engineering discussions around technology decisions and strategy related to a product

  • Experience managing technical products or online services

  • Experience in representing and advocating for a variety of critical customers and stakeholders during executive-level prioritization and planning

Preferred Qualifications

  • Experience in building and driving adoption of new tools

  • Master's degree in a quantitative/technical field such as computer science, engineering, statistics

  • MBA

Our compensation reflects the cost of labor across several US geographic markets. The base pay for this position ranges from $121,000/year in our lowest geographic market up to $235,200/year in our highest geographic market. Pay is based on a number of factors including market location and may vary depending on job-related knowledge, skills, and experience. Amazon is a total compensation company.
