Ion Chromatography and Sample Preparation Business Unit within the Chromatography and Mass Spectrometry Division

How will you make an impact?

This role will help drive product quality forward for the top tier manufacturer of Ion Chromatography products worldwide. The quality engineer will be a key member of new product development core teams establishing product requirements and plans to support successful design transfers to manufacturing and the delivery of an outstanding quality experience for our customers. The role will also support the development and management of new and existing suppliers. This role will collaborate with the Product Quality Manager.

What will you do?

  • Represent quality on new product introduction core teams to develop and manage quality plans, risk assessments and deliverables

  • Provide design quality assurance support to ensure compliance to design control processes requirements and standards

  • Impact product quality for assigned products, working with Operations and R&D teams to improve and address warranty costs, complaints and failures

  • Support the development and monitoring of new and current suppliers to ensure strong ongoing performance, driving corrective actions to suppliers when vital

  • Perform product and process audits, both internally and externally

  • Report and present project status, identified risks and quality readiness to project core teams, site and business leadership

How will you get here?

Education

  • Bachelor’s degree or higher is helpful in technical/scientific or related field

Experience

  • Minimum of 5 years of experience in quality assurance, quality engineering, product development, or manufacturing engineering

  • Experience in supplier quality or development

  • Experience with new product introductions, design for quality, manufacturability, reliability.

  • Experience in process improvement, non-conformance management, risk management

  • Familiarity with validation process design and process validation, change control, and auditing quality management systems preferred

  • Working knowledge of ISO 9001, 13485 or similar quality management systems

  • Able to travel occasionally (<10%) domestic and international

Compensation and Benefits

The salary range estimated for this position based in California is $91,000.00–$136,000.00.

This position may also be eligible to receive a variable annual bonus based on company, team, and/or individual performance results in accordance with company policy. We offer a comprehensive Total Rewards package that our U.S. colleagues and their families can count on, which includes:
