System One Facilities Technician in Sumner, Washington

Job Summary:

Will perform routine maintenance and repairs on facility equipment and property structures. This role involves a wide variety of maintenance activities, addressing immediate operational and safety concerns, and ensuring tools, materials, and vehicles are maintained in good working order. The position operates under direct supervision.

Additional Requirements:

  • Must have a good driving record and be able to interact professionally with customers.

  • Flexibility with shifts, starting M-F, 7AM-3:30PM.

  • Prior experience: 1-2 years route driving

Key Responsibilities:

  • Safety and Work Habits:

  • Maintain safe work habits and actions in all aspects of daily tasks.

  • Evaluate reactive work for safety issues and plan projects with safety as a priority.

  • Review preventative work for any unforeseen items that may present safety concerns.

  • Maintenance and Repairs:

  • Conduct minor repairs including plumbing (e.g., restrooms and dock drains), floor repair, spill pickup (e.g., carpet and floor tile), ceiling and light fixture installation, and wall repair (e.g., drywall installation, patching, wall hanging, and painting).

  • Operate and maintain vehicle equipment such as fork trucks and golf carts.

  • Use powered hand tools (e.g., drills, grinders, porta-band) based on job needs.

  • Tools and Supplies Management:

  • Utilize software to track, assign, and prioritize reactive, planned, preventative, and predictive maintenance work, and manage building management systems.

  • Order supplies from various vendors and assist in managing spare parts inventories.

  • Work Environment:

  • Perform work in various conditions, including extreme heat, cold, and moisture.

  • Maintain housekeeping and safety in work areas and keep the exterior yard, including pits and sumps, clean and repaired.
