We need seasonal employees to assist with our crop production season. Must be able to operate tractors to cultivate, plant, fertilizer and harvest crops. Must be able to operate a combine, tractor and grain cart and drive a semi-truck and trailer to get crops from field to elevators/storage bins. Must be able to complete daily maintenance of irrigation systems including engines to pump water. Center pivot sprinkler system knowledge to operate and repair sprinklers. Must be able to do routine maintenance and repairs on trucks, trailers, combines, tractors, sprayers, pickups and other farm equipment. Must have experience spraying crops and operating a sprayer.
Family housing not available. Housing will be clean and meet applicable Fed, State and local housing standards. Workers must maintain neat and clean housing. Repair cost of damage, other than normal wear and tear will be deducted from the earnings. Housing/utilities are provided at no cost to workers who are unable to return to their place of residence the same day. If both male and female workers are hired: separate toilet, bathing and sleeping rooms will be provided.
The employer will furnish free and convenient cooking and kitchen facilities and space for food preparation, as well as the necessary equipment, appliances (including refrigeration),cooking accessories, and dish washing facilities (e.g., adequate sinks with hot and cold water under pressure) that are in working condition and will be used by workers to sufficiently prepare three (3) meals a day. Employer will provide transportation to assure workers access to stores where they can purchase groceries and/or other incidentals.
Transportation will be provided at no cost to workers, from employer-provided housing and, if applicable, centralized pick-up points to the places of employment at the beginning of each workday and back at the end of each work day. Daily transportation at no cost to workers will be available to workers who do not reside in employer-provided housing from centralized pick-up points.
