Step2 Maintenance Technician Step 2 in Streetsboro, Ohio

Shifts Available: 2nd Shift (2pm to 10pm) Monday -- Friday $28.00 + $1.00 Shift Differential Summary: The Maintenance Technician will work in our Streetsboro Manufacturing plant. There are multiple types and sizes of equipment supporting productions, testing, assembly, machining, prototyping, plus plant -equipment and infrastructure. The Maintenance Technician is responsible for equipment installs, maintains equipment systems, repairs machinery, support equipment, physical structures, pipe systems and electrical systems. Must follow company quality and environmental policy. Essential Duties and Responsibilities: include the following. Other duties may be assigned. • Troubleshoots basic electrical, hydraulic, pneumatic and mechanic problems • Troubleshoots Programmable Logic Controllers, Relay Logic and Complex Hydraulic systems • Runs pip, conduit and pulls wire • Changes pumps, motors and other mechanical problems • Performs preventive maintenance on all facilities, buildings and equipment as required • Answers break down calls • Responsible for assuring that product meets customer quality expectations, functional requirements, and process consistency by utilizing work instructions and servicing equipment for optimum uptime • Responsible for following lock-out/tag-out and confined spaced policies/procedures • Communication all key events and information to supervisor to assure continuity in safety, quality and productivity • Must maintain a clean and safe work area/equipment • Aware of consequences to employee, customer and environment if procedures are not followed • Must follow PPE and safety requirements • And other duties as assigned Qualifications: To perform this job successfully, an individual must be able to perform each essential duty satisfactorily. Education and/or Experience: • High School Diploma, GED or Technical School Certificate • 3 to 5 years of prior work experience in a manufacturing operation as a Maintenance Technician or similar title • Electrical and mechanical systems maintenance, PLC troubleshooting, relay logic and hydraulic systems maintenance experience • Experience with pneumatic tools, saws, grinders and weld/torch equipment
