POSITION SUMMARY: Responsible for providing excellent customer service and promoting Bank product/services while maintaining good relationships with current clients, past clients and referral partners.\ ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:\ 1. Must have good interpersonal and communication skills to generate referral business and leads.\ 2. Generate loans from outside sales calls including, but not limited to Real Estate Companies, Builders, Relocation Companies, and the Public.\ 3. Meet with prospective borrowers, review and analyze credit and financial information, determine borrower financing objectives and goals, present appropriate products, programs and disclosures as required.\ 4. Collect supporting loan documents as required and provided a complete loan package to the operations team. Work with Operations team to ensure that all loan conditions and closing dates are met.\ 5. Negotiate terms and conditions of loans with customers.\ 6. Maintain a working file for the office as required for compliance.\ 7. Stay abreast of trends in developments in the local real estate market and competitive environment, as well as, changes in rules and regulations pertaining to mortgage products.

\ EXPERIENCE REQUIRED:\ Financial organizational skills and financial information understanding.\ Minimum of two (2) years experience in mortgage lending functions.\ Customer Service experience.\ Some sales experience preferably in the mortgage industry.

EDUCATION, CERTIFICATIONS & TRAINING:\ High school diploma or GED required.\ NMLS or the ability to obtain NMLS registration.

JOB-SPECIFIC SKILLS & KNOWLEDGE:\ Knowledge of mortgage software systems.\ Knowledge of FHA, FNMA, FHLMC, VA and Rural Development guidelines.\ Knowledge involving compliance with RESPA and MDIA.\ Strong verbal and written communication skills.\ Ability to maintain confidentiality.\ Ability to work in fast-paced environment, managing multiple tasks/projects and deadlines simultaneously.\ Ability to manage detailed tasks/projects with accuracy while meeting stringent deadlines.\ Self-motivated; organized; and able to prioritize tasks.

WORKING CONDITIONS\ Individuals in this position must be able to perform essential functions and physical demands within these documented working conditions with or without reasonable accommodation:\ This position is in an office environment within a climate-controlled facility that can be high-traffic during peak service times. There is frequent use of the telephone, computer and other office equipment associated with this position, as well as a large amount of face-to-face interaction with customers. Individuals in this position are typically seated at their personal desk for the majority of the day. This position may require some travel to different locations at times, which will result in some tasks being performed in venues other than the assigned office.\ The individual responsible for this role must be able to perform job functions with general supervision and work effectively as a member of a team and independently. The individual must be capable of working harmoniously with diverse personalities of co-workers, staff and customers.
