Aston Carter Senior Accounting Consultant in Stillwater, Minnesota
Responsibilities:
Prepares and reviews income and balance sheet statements, consolidated statements and various other accounting statements and reports
Analyzes and collects financial reports, records, making recommendations relative to the accounting of reserves, assets, and expenditures
Reviews and verifies the accuracy of journal entries and accounting classifications assigned to various records
Assists in evaluating, recommending, maintaining and monitoring appropriate internal controls
Assists in the maintenance of internal control documentation
Interacts with internal and external stakeholders in responding to inquires or report requests
Conducts special studies and develops or recommends accounting methods and procedures
Instructs or assigns work to staff and external vendor partner
Coordinates accounting matters with other departments and locations
Utilizes computer to input, retrieve or display accounting information
Reconciles and reviews assigned accounts
Indirectly oversees and reviews work of 2-3 staff level accountants
Qualifications:
5+ years of technical accounting experience, high-level, large company
2+ years of Large ERP experience (they use Oracle, will eventually implement SAP, T-rex, and another proprietary system)
Bachelor's Degree in Accounting, Finance or related
2+ years of Large company experience, public preferred
