Our Account Manager positions are part of our U.S. Stainless Services & Solutions with its corporate office located in Sterling Heights, MI. Aperam Stainless Services & Solutions USA provides precision slit coils and blanks, with a focus on appliance, automotive, electric mobility, food & beverage, stamping, drawing, forming and industrial manufacturing markets.

Summary (About this Positions):

The Aperam SS&S USA has an exciting opportunity for Account Managers with territories within the Northeast and the Midwest region of United States.  The successful candidates will possess proven world-class  experience in managing account objectives, strategies and  problem solving.  The ideal candidate will have a technical background in stainless steel and/or in carbon and nickel alloys and is best-in-class focused on building and maintaining customer relationships to generate sales.  The candidates will demonstrate an ability to learn, apply and problem solve to increase effectiveness in this role.  This position reports directly to the Vice President of Sales.

Your Role (key job tasks)

  • Manage a portfolio of customers and drive new business development and profitable volume growth
  • Lead and maintain ongoing customer engagement to understand customer needs, competitive forces and evolve Aperam strategic positioning
  • Establish proactive communication and relationship that promotes confidence and trust
  • Accountability for development and achievement of annual volume, revenue and profitability goals within territory  
  • To analyze complex data and identify meaningful correlations to solve the needs of the customers, better inform business decisions and achieve desired results
  • Ensure all sales activities are compliant with applicable laws and regulations unique to each market and Aperam Compliance & Legal standards

Your Profile (Required background)

Bachelor's Degree, preferably in business administration or engineering; or a skill trade in stainless steel 

5 years experience in B2B outside sales, preferably in the stainless steel industry

and effectively work with others in a multicultural environment   

Ability to understand the big picture, distill complex situations into a clear summary and provide thoughtful recommendations on necessary actions
