Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or an acceptable alternative - based on High School equivalency.
• Experience working with cleaning supplies and equipment.
• Valid Michigan certified driver's license with a good driving record and ability to pass drug tests.
• Ability to lift, handle or move supplies, equipment, and materials up to 50lbs.
• Demonstrate positive human relation skills with all staff, students, and the general public. 
• Adaptable working with and around students.
• Must be a self-starter.

• Such alternatives to the above qualifications as the Board of Education may find appropriate and acceptable.

   

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Perform routine cleaning, vacuuming, mopping, waxing, window Functions, washing, painting and wall washing necessary to keep a proper and hygienic learning atmosphere throughout the school facility.
• Clean office and bathrooms.
• Empty trash from all rooms.
• Keep an inventory of cleaning supplies and requisition needed supplies/materials.
• Be responsible for securing buildings by locking all interior and exterior doors and windows at the conclusion of the workday.
• Help in servicing and maintaining custodial equipment.
• Other duties as assigned by the Superintendent and/or Maintenance Supervisor

* Terms of Employment:*

• Twelve months, 8 hours/day Monday through Friday 2:30pm-11:00pm. Position subject to all rules and regulations covering support staff personnel. Salary and benefits will be according to the Master Agreement for Support Personnel.
