Assistant Manager - Outdoor Center Equipment and Rentals 1325553 A leading University is seeking an Outdoor Center Assistant Manager. The successful candidate will play an active role in the first impression and ongoing experience all users have with the outdoor center. The right candidate will maintain the physical space, and will be essential in providing framework and resources for our community of outdoor enthusiasts, leaders, and learners. The ideal candidate has enthusiasm for the outdoors. The company offers a great work environment! Assistant Manager - Outdoor Center Equipment and Rentals Pay and Benefits: • Hourly pay: $23/hr • Worksite: Leading University (Stanford, CA 94305 - Onsite) • W2 Employment, Group Medical, Dental, Vision, Life, Retirement Savings Program, PSL • 20 hours/week, 3 Month Assignment Assistant Manager - Outdoor Center Equipment and Rentals Responsibilities: • Provides ongoing equipment cleaning, maintenance, and repair. • Front line retail and rental customer service. • Assists in the rental infrastructure, organization, and inventory control. • Assist with gear outfitting for outdoor programs. • Supervise students in the role of retail and rental operations. • Other duties as assigned. • Frequently required to lift, carry and move up to 40 lbs of supplies and equipment. • Usage a computer for extended periods of time. • Duties involve cleaning (vacuuming, sweeping, center floor-maintenance). Assistant Manager - Outdoor Center Equipment and Rentals Qualifications: • Bachelor’s degree preferred. • Affability and a desire to interact with customers. • Exhibition of positive attitude, tact, sensitivity, and sound judgment to deal effectively with a diversity of staff, customer individuals and groups, vendors and contractors. • Enthusiasm for the outdoors. • Excellent communication (written and verbal) and organizational skills. • Ability to work effectively with little supervision, and within a collaborative team. • Knowledge of or strong willingness to learn outdoor equipment maintenance and repair. • Strong interpersonal communication, organization and supervisory skills. • Ability to move and be on your feet much of the day assisting customers and supervising students. Shift: • 10:00 AM - 2:00 PM
