The Campaign Finance Board is looking for their next program analyst! This position oversees the day-to-day operation of the lobbyist registration and disclosure program. This position is responsible for the distribution, collection, and entry of data into agency databases, as well as the filing of disclosure documents required by Minnesota Statutes. This position will additionally assist the Executive Director in collecting, storing, and retrieving data for the preparation and analysis of summaries of documents filed with the Board, specifically for the Lobbying Program. This position will answer questions from the public about registration and reporting requirements and direct them to relevant advisory opinions or other resources to provide guidance on complex questions.

Minimum Qualifications

  • Two (2) years of experience in database management to include generation of standardized reports.

  • Knowledge of Microsoft productivity applications including Microsoft Access, Word, Excel, and PowerPoint.

A bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, education, or a related field may be substituted for one (1) year of work experience as described. An associate degree may be substituted for 6 months of experience as described.

Minimum qualifications assessed in the interview:

  • Ability to work productively with minimal supervision.

  • Ability to prioritize and manage time effectively.

  • Written and oral communication skills, including the ability to communicate to internal and external stakeholders.

  • Ability to communicate effectively with multiple audiences.

  • Ability to develop the understanding of complex business systems and the associated agency processes.

Preferred Qualifications

  • Knowledge of the Economic Interest Statement (EIS) program and SharePoint

  • Demonstrated organizational, and problem-solving skills and the ability to handle multiple and competing priorities in an effective manner.

  • A bachelor’s degree in business administration, public administration, education, or a related field.

  • Knowledge of relevant MN state statutes to include Minn. Stat. Ch. 10A.
