A day on the job as a Production Lead:
This position will be responsible for the day-to-day function of various production lines, providing guidance and support to our employees in order to produce high quality products. Additional responsibilities include coaching, teaching, and mentoring, as well as ensuring employees comprehend all company standards to meet quality and production goals.
Duties include:
Perform production/packaging start-up and continuous monitoring of the line operation
Assign line workers to their position on the line and provide instructions as required
Monitor component requirements and deliver materials to line as needed
Rotate line workers into different positions as needed
Direct and lead line operations to assure production goals are achieved
Ensure team and individuals are performing their job functions efficiently and effectively
Assist in training new employees
Turn in daily reports
Maintain communication with Warehouse Supervisors and provide excellent customer service
Perform various tasks such as packing, picking, shipping and loading
Other tasks as assigned
This job may be for you if you can:
Sit for up to 10 hours a day
Walk distances across the production floor
What we are looking for in a Production Lead:
6+ months in a similar lead position
Ability to work second shift: Monday through Thursday 4:30 pm to 3:00 am
Ability to work independently, manages multiple assignments, and meets tight deadlines
Computer skills including familiarity with Windows-based programs such as Microsoft productivity tools (e.g., Excel, Word, and Outlook)
