Required Skills The Team Member We're Looking For... Our Shipping Team needs someone who has excellent hand-eye coordination to operate a forklift close to shelves and other workers in a warehouse, who is prepared to work in various warehouse functions like the pick line and has great attention to detail to help maintain process accuracy and efficiency. This person will communicate with others to ensure workers are safe throughout their shift. In addition to your team mates, you'll get to meet and work with supervisors, leads and other warehouse employees. As a Warehouse Worker, these are some of the things you'd do during the course of the day: Learn and perform all of the functions of the position assigned following all company rules and standards Transports, loads, and unloads materials and products to designated areas using sit-down or stand-up forklift, and other specialized machinery/tools, including pallets, dollies, and other devices Conduct equipment and trailer inspections Matching Items, Count, and Packaging With Invoices Consolidate, palletize and perform pick-line functions Identify damages and report shortages or quality deficiencies Complete required paperwork Inspect machinery to determine the need for repairs and guarantee safety by performing regular maintenance Keep updated records of inventory and activity logs Any other related duties assigned For this role, you want to dress warm! You would be working in a cool environment with an average temperature of 34F. The work surfaces and floors may be wet and you would be working around different types of chemicals. There is a lot going on, like moving machinery, including conveyors and forklifts that are in operation in the immediate area, so noise levels are high. And we've got you covered! Safety is ALWAYS first, so we have protocols and protective equipment to help you be able to get the job done.
