Responsibilities

This position is in PCG’s Human Services practice area on the Aging & Disability Services (A&D) team.The A&D teamworks with states and providers to design, develop, refine, evaluate, and manage programs that support older adults and people with disabilities.Ourmission is tohelp our clients improvethe lives of the people they serve.The A&D team isseekingto add askilled, team-orientedSeniorConsultant that will help usfulfill thismission.

TheSeniorConsultant’s primary responsibilities will be tomanage our work withvocational rehabilitation(VR)clients, serve asa subject matter expert, and contribute toteam sales efforts. Projects may includeareassuch asevaluation,technicalassistancein policy development, andimplementing innovative practices. The consultant should have a passion for doing high-quality work, continuouslylearningand improving, effectively analyzing cost data, consistentlyconductinga wide variety of data collection and analysismethodologies,and regularly exceeding consultants' and clients' expectations.Examples of specific responsibilities are described below.This position requires creative thinking as well as adetailed eyeand excellent communications skills.Applicants must be able todemonstratethat theycanexcelboth in afast-pacedteam environmentand autonomously.Experience withvocational rehabilitation agenciesor employment for people with disabilitiesisrequired.

Specific Responsibilities:

  • Lead clientengagementswithvocational rehabilitation agencies,oras well asother state agenciesas appropriate

  • Managecomplex projects and producesophisticated workplans and deliverables

  • Develop strong relationships with clients and serve as a key contact for ongoing communications

  • Lead data analyticsincluding the collection and analysis of primary and secondary data,managing ateam to conduct analysis, and assuringaccurateand valid results and analysis

  • Createreports and other written contentbased on data analytics thatclients use for data-based decision making

  • Lead technicalassistanceto support clients in change management resulting from data analytics

  • Interpret and apply,federal and state policy invocational rehabilitation

  • Supervise and provide direction toproject staff, including subcontracted staff

  • Conduct presentations and oral briefings for clients

  • Lead proposal efforts, including managing proposal teams, writing content, andcoordinating submissions

  • Develop new business and growth opportunities

  • Other consulting responsibilities as necessary

  • Demonstrated history of perseverance through challenges

  • Ability to work both in afastpacedenvironment, both in ateam situation and autonomously

  • Ability to work with colleagues and clients in virtual videoconferencing settings, including Microsoft Teams, Zoom, etc.

  • ProficiencywithMicrosoft applications, including Word, PowerPoint, and Excel

Required Experience:

  • Graduatedegreeorbachelor’s degree withrelevantleadershipexperience

  • 7+years ofconsultingwork experience inthefield ofvocational rehabilitationoremployment for people with disabilities

  • Experience managing or supervising staff

  • Project managementknowledge and skills

  • Proficient inwriting professional communications and reports.

  • Strong analytical skills, including the ability to analyzelarge data sets,policyand legislation.

  • Ability toleadand manageteams, as well as workautonomously.

  • Proficiency in Microsoft applications, in particular Excel.

  • Proficiencyorexpertisein other software products for communication, data analysis, surveying, etc.

Preferred Experience:

  • Knowledgeor experiencein leadingsuccessfulsystems changeinitiatives

  • Knowledge or experience inemployment for people withdisabilities,employment first,vocational rehabilitation federaland state legislation, policies, and practices

  • Project Management Professional (PMP) certification

Compensation

Compensation for roles at Public Consulting Group varies depending on a wide array of factors including, but not limited to, the specific office location, role, skill set, and level of experience. As required by applicable law, PCG provides the following reasonable range of compensation for this role: $76,000 - $120,000. In addition, PCG provides a range of benefits for this role..
