Coffman Engineers is seeking a highly skilled, self-motivated, and technically minded Civil Engineer (zero to five years) with an interest in general Transportation and Transit design to join our team and apply your engineering skills to challenging projects. You will have the opportunity to support projects across the region focused on transportation technology and innovative mobility deployment systems and transit facilities such as roadways; bridges; airport facilities, taxiways & aprons; bus facilities and infrastructure; pedestrian access and connectivity; and associated storm water management improvements. The successful candidate will be an outgoing and enthusiastic self-starter, with a desire to work and grow with a multidiscipline engineering team and be willing to have fun! Qualifications Bachelor's degree in Civil Engineering Successful completion of the Fundamentals of Engineering (FE) exam. Interest in providing civil engineering design for a variety of transportation and transit related projects including streets, bridges, bus and airport facilities, pedestrian accessibility, and drainage improvements. Experience with roadway planning and design preferred. Engineering experience with design, permitting, and construction related assistance preferred. Experience with hydrologic and hydraulic calculations; technical studies and public participation; and preparation of site or public improvement grading, storm water management, and utility plans preferred. Experience in coordinating with a multi-discipline design team preferred. Proficiency with AutoCAD Civil 3D. Ability to work independently and collaborate with other team members. Effective technical writing and communication skills. Excellent time management skills. A positive attitude with a focus on team and client success. Expected annual salary range depending on experience: $67,700 - $88,000 This position is not eligible for sponsorship.
